About EMRS-

EMRS Umarpada is the part of network of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) set up by the Government of India under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The school was sanctioned in the year 2021 and it is currently running classes from VI to IX for the academic session 2024-2025. The main goal of these schools is to provide quality education to children from tribal communities, especially in remote and underserved areas. Here are some key points about EMRS:

1. Purpose: EMRS aims to offer high-quality education and holistic development to tribal students, ensuring they have opportunities for academic and personal growth.

2. Facilities: The schools are equipped with modern facilities, including well-stocked libraries, computer labs, science labs, and sports amenities.

3. Curriculum: The curriculum generally follows the guidelines set by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), with a focus on academic excellence, along with extracurricular activities to support overall development.

4. Residential Nature: As residential schools, EMRS provides boarding facilities to students, which helps in catering to those who come from far-flung areas.

5. Admission: Admission is usually based on merit and the specific requirements set out by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, with a focus on tribal students.

6. Location: These schools are often located in tribal-dominated areas to ensure they are accessible to students who might otherwise have limited access to quality education.
